THE BLACK DYNAMITE CONTEST HAS BEEN AMENDED!!!!

I thought about the BLACK DYNAMITE contest and I felt its a bit unfair to the people who supported me early to be out of the runnings to the $1000 prize since I was looking for the 5,000th customer & the 10,000th follower. So I'm going to amend the rules in order to make it fair to everybody!!

So here it is:

I'm still looking for the 5,000th customer to buy BLACK DYNAMITE from http://chaundon.bandcamp.com When we reach the 5,000th customer he/she will win $1000!! Then I will have a live lottery drawing on www.livestream.com/tripodtv to award the winner the $1,000.00 cash prize. The contest ends December 25, 2009 and the drawing will be on December 26, 2009 @ 8pm est

For contest #2

I am looking for the 10,000 customer to become a follower to my new site http://iamchaundon.ning.com
Here's the twist, I will have two lottery's!! When we reach 5,000 members I will give out $500 to the winner. Then when we reach 10,000 members I will have another lottery and award the next winner $500!

Fair enough??

Ladies & Gentlemen please welcome, K.I.N.E.T.I.K!

I had the pleasure to be put on to some new music, dope music in my opinion, and I want to pass on the music to all of you! Ladies and gentlemen I introduce to you K.I.N.E.T.I.K!!! Check out his music on the links below and read his bio. His contact info is at the end of the blog so hit him up and let him know what you think of the music!

K.I.N.E.T.I.K., born Christopher Mitchell, was literally born into the music. As the son of asinger, even in the womb he was exposed to the magical power of music. As he grew up, hebegan to appreciate different genres of the musical spectrum such as Gospel, Soul and Funkbut his heart was truly enamoured with Hip Hop. There was something about the beats, therhymes, the fashion and the entire culture that he identified with and embraced. Realising thathe had a way with words, he penned his first rhyme at the age of eleven and “instead of turningback, he turned his hat backwards”.

The name K.I.N.E.T.I.K., in relation to “moving energy”, was bestowed upon him by a schoolfriend because he could “move you mentally, physically and spiritually”. In order to enhance hisindividuality, he also created the acronym “Kultural Instinctiveness Nurtured Into EffectivelyTackling Incorrect Koncepts”, further reinforcing his steadfast intention of having somethingworthwhile to say in every verse. Influenced by the classic work of The Notorious B.I.G., Wu-Tang Clan, Nas and Jay-Z to mention a few, he continued to develop the witty, detailed andhonest approach to his musical style which is still his benchmark today.Following this, he started to showcase his skills throughout the U.K. as one half of rap duoTwisted Thoughts alongside fellow emcee Jamieson, quickly moving through the independentcircuit.

Over the years, K.I.N.E.T.I.K. has been privileged enough to perform at some of themost famous venues in the U.K. namely The Royal Albert Hall and Hackney Empire as well asin countries such as France and the United States, leaving audiences amazed with hispassionate and heartfelt expression. After years of live shows, numerous collaborations and diligently working on his craft,K.I.N.E.T.I.K. finally released his debut album “The Adventures Of The Energy Man” to criticalacclaim in 2007. Featuring a number of burgeoning newcomers on both production and guestappearances, the album continues to thrill listeners with its unique introspection on everydaylife.

After the favourable reception of the album, he immediately began to record his secondopus titled “The Kinesis Thesis”. “The Kinesis Thesis” not only builds upon the diary esqueconcept of his first release but also incorporates a number of life experiences told from a thirdperson perspective and explores other pressing socio-political issues. As a result, theanticipation surrounding its imminent release continues to grow.Whilst still continuing to fortify his reputation in the independent scene both locally andinternationally, “The Kinesis Thesis” and all subsequent output is poised to surely positionK.I.N.E.T.I.K. as one of the most exciting and talented writers of our current generation.

WHEN 3 BECAME 2

"It all started back in '99 when times were hard" (c)Phonte
Allow me to reminisce for a bit about the humble beginnings of the group that kicked in the door and set the precedent for incredible and honest music to be created, Little Brother. Back when there was 3 it was a simpler time. Dope beats and dope rhymes is what brought us together. I remember times on the yard, North Carolina Central University, we use to listen to and critique albums then go to create our own sound. I remember as the Justus League came into its own and we dominated the Hip Hop scene in the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill area. No one could deny that we ran the triangle! We were just college kids who shared the same ideology of what great music was. Pardon my rambling, all of the memories are hard to channel from my mind to the keys of my laptop. I guess I'm just trying to say if it wasn't for my brothers for recording the song that started it all "Speed", we would just be sharks in this small pond we know as the RDU area.

Somewhere along our journey, the fibers of the nucleus of my crew came apart and then there was 2.

After the LB break up, Phonte & Pooh have weathered the storm and continued to carry the torch and brought more opportunities to the crew. The music is still as potent as it was when there was 3. Times are very different now, but I appreciate every controversial moment because it helped mold me to the artist and business man I am today. Yes, I miss the times of yesterday but today is what counts and what creates the times of tomorrow. There are a lot of things that I am not at liberty to speak on but when its all said and done it is what it is.

I guess what I want to say is THANK YOU LITTE BROTHER!

Jay-Z's Facts VS. Chaundon's Opinions

As you all know, I have been an extreme tough critic of Jay-Z lately since his release of BP3. It's no secret that I despise this album only because I measured the quality of BP3 against his earlier work from Reasonable Doubt to Blue Print. He set the bar so high I only expect the very best from him am I wrong for that? But anyway, all opinions aside, Jay-Z is the king of this rap shit! Lets look at the facts. He has more #1 albums than elvis! Who else can say that? He's sold over 33 million albums. He has a successful clothing company, Roc-a-wear. Has a chain of 40/40 clubs. Married the hottest chick in the game, Beyonce. He is about to open up a hotel in New York. Owns a color, Jay-Z Blue. Has a new fragrance, 9IX. OPRAH LOVES HIM. He's been in the game for 13 years and guess what, he is still relevant! I can't even front, even though I personally didn't like his last 3 lps, he has still broke barriers, and set records that no one can deny, not even I lol. I am proud of Jay-Z, clap for him!

FAT BOY CHAUNDON

Yesterday I was in Walmart shopping for cleaning supplies and I make my way to the check out counter. As the chick was bagging my purchase I heard a voice say "NEW SHIT" and I looked t my left and saw the bag of Strawberried Peanut Butter M&M's. So being the fat boy I am, I was COMPELLED to grab the bag and try out the new line of snacks from the good folks of Mars Candy Company. When I got home I ripped open the bag and tried one. I wasn't too impressed. But for $0.50 it was worth the chance.
